Every year for the last XX years our Rotary Club gets togther on a Friday night 17 miles down Shea Road.  Its the middle of the desert and thats the way we like it!  Our fellow Rotarians get together to talk, laugh, and eat from our group chili pot (one very large pot that has contributions of chili from several different Rotarians, mixed together in one pot).  The following morning commences the start of the Parker 425 off-road race.  During our long day and night of monitoring the road crossing we will witness anything from a truck rolling over mid race, a pit stop to change a tire, driver changes, trucks on fire, helicopters flying overhead, and who knows what else!
